On August 3, the lead site initiation meeting for the clinical trial on the efficacy and safety of Bailing Tablets in the treatment of non-segmental slowly progressive vitiligo was successfully held in the academic hall on the first floor of the Department of Dermatology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University. Guangzhou Evidence-Based Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., as the full-process CRO for this project, provided in-depth support across all aspects of the clinical trial.
The initiation meeting was led by the principal investigator, Professor Li Chunying from the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University. Key project personnel attended the meeting, including Peng Tingxia, Deputy General Manager of Sinopharm Fengliaoxing (Foshan) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Zhou Jie, General Manager of Guangzhou Evidence-Based Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd.
At the beginning of the meeting, Director Yu, representing the study site, set the tone for the project in her opening remarks. She emphasized that this project is an important practice in promoting the standardization of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment for vitiligo. She required the team to strictly comply with GCP standards, rigorously enforce inclusion and exclusion criteria, ensure traceable and authentic data, and strive to generate solid clinical evidence to benefit patients.

Subsequently, Deputy General Manager Peng Tingxia, on behalf of the sponsor, expressed sincere gratitude to the Xijing Hospital team for their support in this project and pledged to ensure adequate drug supply and logistical support. She specifically noted that Bailing Tablets have recently been included in the National Essential Medicines List, marking a new milestone in drug accessibility and clinical recognition. Building on this favorable policy development, the company plans to promote the trial across multiple centers nationwide and invited Xijing Hospital to take the lead role in establishing a benchmark demonstration.

During the meeting, the project manager from Guangzhou Evidence-Based Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. provided a detailed presentation on the research background, preclinical study foundation, protocol design, subject inclusion and exclusion criteria, and key trial procedures.
In the Q&A and discussion session, participating experts engaged in in-depth exchanges on key implementation challenges such as lesion area measurement, data documentation, and subject experience, ultimately reaching consensus on unified and standardized execution procedures, laying a solid foundation for a scientifically rigorous, compliant, and efficient trial.
